does any-one know how you can tell the difference between a boy and a girl cat when they are very young? we are confused. luckly his her name is nutmeg, so will suit a boy or girl but do we call it he or she?

They most certainly would though beware they will need a few minutes at least three times a week or can often get a bit wild, and lose their tameness. Syrians tend to retain their tameness longer. Dwarves are great visually as they can live together and so interact for company and give them lots of toys and tunnels and they will love you even if you can't play with them for hours every day.

Would have thought it impossible to breed more than one litter at a time with only one male and one female?
Why do you want to breed? it is not something to enter into lightly how are you going to cope with 15 hamsters after you have 13 babies to add to your original two - all needing seperate cages etc.?

I currently foster guinea pigs for a guinea pig rescue group. Some friends of mine at work has baby Russian Dwarf Hampsters that they are selling and I was if they would be an okay pet for someone with little time but a big heart.
